The Happiest Place on Earth

We all know how much I love Disneyland!  I honestly wish I could just live on Main Street, USA.  There is something that just washes my cares away when I am there.  Well last August, we joined my parents to celebrate their 60th birthdays and went to Disneyland!  It was wonderful!! We had no idea there was a little stowaway in my tummy at the time!  So let's hope my girl is a Disney girl... after all she has already been on all of the rides!

Heading on our way into Disneyland!! I can hardly contain myself!!!

Stephen looking frightened - just about to ride the new STAR TOURS in 3D.  It was pretty dark when I took it, I think that is why he is so wide eyed.. ha ha

We tried out the pretty good BBQ restaurant there at Disneyland.  Wasn't bad at all!!

On the SS Mark Twain - It was the first time we had ever taken the time to do this!

The parade was great!  We had a front row view too!

We had such a great time, and can't wait to go back - as always.

Our Baby Girl!

I thought I would post some info and some pictures of our little girl.  We are so excited!  She has been doing great.  Our first ultra sound she was a little hard to see so they had us come back a second time.  They said nothing seemed wrong but they wanted to be sure.  Still made me nervous... but I guess it is the start of a lifetime of worrying!  We went back for our second ultrasound and they could see pretty much everything and said she looked great!  The doctor actually said she had some long legs... must get that from Stephen because we know how short I am.  Throughout the whole pregnancy she has had a very strong heart beat so that has always been a good sign.  She has been moving non-stop (or at least it seems to me) for a couple of months now!  So far it seems like we have a very healthy little one on the way.  We feel so blessed!

As for me, at 29 weeks I'm still doing good.  Five months of vomiting was enough for me.  Thank heavens that has passed.  My heart has been throwing in some extra beats pretty consistently so my OB had me get in with a Cardiologist just to make sure all is well.  He said that this isn't a very uncommon complaint during pregnancy.  As we all know it is a great strain on the body to be supporting two people!  He said it is just the way my heart is reacting to having to pump almost 50% more blood than usual, but that it doesn't mean anything is wrong.  The extra beats were keeping my temperature extra high, to the point where I almost fainted from heat once so he put me on a low dose medication that keeps my heart rate down and helps with the palpitations.  Just to be cautious they have me wearing a heart monitor which is extremely annoying and uncomfortable... but if it helps them know what is going on then it is a good thing.  I will also have an Echo in March just to make sure all is well.

Stephen is continuing to work very had in school.  He is putting in lots of over time at work to help us get our finances in order so we are a little more ready for this little one.  He is excited about being a Dad and is putting a lot of time and effort into the nursery, pictures will come soon!

As for now, you can take a look at the ultrasound pictures we had at about 18 weeks at Fetal Photos.  We couldn't wait to find out if it was a boy or girl!!
